Each day, OneCompassion strives and encourages others to live compassionately. Not only does this mean to serve each other but to also serve our community. To do so, one may go out of their way to better others, often when it’s inconvenient. Without order or question, one seeks out those opportunities day in and day out.
Serving our community goes beyond personal benefit. It is all about dedicating time, energy, and effort towards a bigger cause. Whether it is through volunteering or giving financially, any act of kindness serves both each other and the community.
Through an ample amount of humility and consideration for others, OneCompassion recognizes Eric Gutierrez as the 2021 Compassion Award recipient. Throughout the year Eric went above and beyond by helping our people division and marketing teams to develop bilingual communications. Being a servant leader to his team, Eric has helped our Spanish-speaking employees stay engaged and informed.
During the holiday season, Eric volunteered to help our annual Holiday Ministry. He continued to help us communicate with Spanish-speaking families. Along with communicating, Eric helped contact 17 of our 107 families to determine needs, gifts, and scheduled delivery times. Our team is so grateful for Eric as he has taught us valuable language skills and his dedication to serve others along with OneCompassion.
